CommuniTree is a business founded by Catherine Duniam with the aim of bringing nature into the city, through a range of products and services.

Bio:

Having grown up on a farm in the lush North West Tasmania, Catherine Duniam’s ultimate vision is to bring more nature into the city. Travelling in both Australia and around the globe, she discovered how different communities relate to both each other and their natural environment.

While back in Australia, she has worn many hats in environmental and community development. She co-founded Loophole community centre, worked with refugees at renegade restaurant chain Lentil as Anything and combined a love of wholesome food with environmental awareness at Friends of the Earth.

After achieving qualifications in Architecture at the University of Tasmania she continued with Postgraduate study in Environmental Planning at RMIT. It’s from these experiences that Catherine believes increasing urban vegetation will help solve the myriad problems that befall a condensed cityscape.
